HEALING THROUGH HUMOR

It is no laughing matter that over 5000 people are diagnosed with cancer in Montana every year.
However, beginning on April 23 everyone in cities across Montana will have permission to laugh & celebrate!

The outrageously funny chronicle of Jonna Tamases’ real-life bouts with cancer (yes, we just used cancer and funny in the same sentence) takes us on a masterful journey inside Jonna’s body, where a sassy receptionist fields calls from a parade of quirky body parts.

The LA Times calls the one-woman show, “Witty…Delightful…Unabashedly theatrical.”

Jonna is a 3-time cancer survivor, fighting cancer and winning life since the age of 19. Her battles were out of necessity… her story is one many of us can relate to. She has taken the word we all dread – CANCER- and turned it into a piece of living art; creatively spun, as only an award-winning actress (and professional clown) could craft.

Jonna’s award-winning show delivers a riotously entertaining, profoundly moving performance that has viewers clapping with joy!  Jonna’s Body, please holdis a creatively crafted tale of toil and triumph that anyone can relate to and everyone will enjoy.
Her performance provides inspiration, courage and hope to all its viewers. The movie embodies the fullness of life. It is a trademark performance that models how to overcome life’s obstacles with grace and humor.

Offered  by the Cancer Family Network of Montana, the  Jonna’s Body, please hold’  movie is FREE to the public and shows at 6:30p.m. at your community public library. For more information, email Programs@CancerFamilyNetwork.org or call 406-587-8080.

Water ColorNo artistic talent was required at this fun opportunity to explore our creative sides! Cancer Family Network and Highgate Senior Living in Bozeman teamed up on March 24th and 26th with artist Pam Dolan to present an Expressive Watercolor Workshop in Bozeman. Pam is a graduate student who was seeking an audience of cancer survivors, seniors, and their families to lead in an exciting opportunity for personal expression. A fabulous, creative time was had by all.
