Thanks to generous donors of high quality Goorin Hats of San Fransisco, along with knitted and crochetted caps locally hand-crafted with love, CFN
is able to provide FREE Hats through Montana's cancer centers to survivors undergoing treatment.
In addition to providing newly bald heads protection from the elements and much-needed pampering, these hats give an opportunity for survivors to feel good, have fun and express themselves!
Healing Hats, Healing Hearts was inspired by Lisa Raddick, a Bozeman survivor who started Hats from the Heart at Bozeman Deaconess Cancer Center. With Lisa's permission, we are pleased to provide these great free hats from Gooring Hat Company to survivors across Montana.
Currently Great Falls Clinic Cancer Care of Great Falls and St. Peter's Cancer Center of Helena now have a Healing Hats, Healing Hearts program available for survivors at their cancer centers. To begin a Healing Hats, Healing Hearts program at your area cancer center, a local volunteer and cancer center representative are needed to support long-term program monitoring and hat supplies. Stylish hat stands are provided, also free of charge, that require a 4'x4’ floor and 6’ vertical space for display. Corner display areas work well. A nearby wall space is also needed for CFN information materials.
Healing Hats, Healing Hearts fits nicely in collaboration with most existing hat/wig programs. To get started, call or email the CFN Program Director at 587-8080.
Join Cancer Family Network to bring this fun ‘Healing Hats, Healing Hearts’ program to your cancer center and cancer survivors!
